about nccThe National Cadet Corps ( ncc full form)is the Indian military cadets' body and has its headquarters in New Delhi. It is open to college and school students on a non-committal basis.The National Cadet Corps in India is a non-profit corporation that recruits cadets of high schools, universities and colleges across India. The cadets receive basic training in the use of small arms and also in parades. Cadets and officers are not under any obliged to enter military service once they have completed their formal training. However they will be given a higher chance of being selected than regular candidates. selections depending on their achievements within the Corps.

2.To build a human resource that is well-organized, educated and eager to offer leadership across all aspects of their lives, including within the Armed Forces and be always willing to help the nation.

The NCC in India was formed as a result of legislation known as National Cadet Corps Act of 1948. The Act was passed on the 15th of July on the 15th of July in 1948. National Cadet Corps can be considered as the successor of the University Officers Training Corps (UOTC) that was founded in 1942 by British In 1942. British during 1942. In the period of World War II, the UOTC was not up to the standards established by the British. The result was that better programs should be devised to help more youngsters more effectively even in peacetime. A committee chaired by Pandit H.N. Kunzru proposed a cadet organization to be created in colleges and schools on a larger scale. In 1948, the National Cadet Corps Act was passed by the Governor General and on the 15th of July on the 15th of July, 1948, The National Cadet Corps was established.

In the wars of 1965 and 1971 in the conflict between United States and Pakistan, NCC students were the second defense. They organized camps to aid factories that produced ordinance, and supplied weapons and ammunition at the front. They they also formed patrol groups to eliminate enemy paratroopers. The NCC Cadets also collaborated in conjunction with Civil Defence authorities and actively involved in rescue efforts and traffic management. Following the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak conflict , the NCC syllabus was updated. Instead of being merely the second line of defense, the NCC syllabus emphasized more on the development of leadership and officer-like traits. The training related to military the NCC student received cut back and greater emphasis was placed on other areas like youth-management and social service.
